Refund & Cancellation Policy
How to cancel, what gets refunded, and on what timeline. Plain English.
Doom Tide LLC offers two paid services: Self-Admin (a $250 one-time setup) and Full Administration (a percentage commission on royalties collected). This policy covers how each can be cancelled, what gets refunded, and when.
If anything below is unclear or you think your situation falls outside what’s described, email hello@doomtide.co and we’ll work it out directly. Our default posture is to be generous and prompt.
Self-Admin — 90-day refund window
Self-Admin is a one-time $250 payment that provides lifetime access to the Doom Tide platform’s catalog tools, PRO/MLC registration guides, statement parsing, and the bulk-upload CSV exporters. We do the building; you do the actual portal submissions to PROs and the MLC.
You can request a full refund of the $250 within 90 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email hello@doomtide.co from the address tied to your Doom Tide account with the subject “Refund request.” We process refunds back to the original Stripe payment method within five business days of receipt. You’ll get a confirmation email with the refund transaction reference once Stripe completes it.
After 90 days, Self-Admin is non-refundable. Lifetime access continues regardless — you retain the same login, the same catalog, and the same access to any future Self-Admin features we ship.
What happens to your data after a refund. Your account, catalog, statement history, and royalty records are deleted within five business days of the refund completing. There is no free or inactive tier — once you ask for the money back, the workspace winds down with it.
Coming back later is simple: a new $250 Self-Admin payment, re-upload your catalog, pick up from there. We don’t hang on to your data because we don’t need to. None of your royalty income flows through Doom Tide at any point — your PROs and the MLC pay you directly — so there’s nothing for us to be sitting on if you leave.
Full Administration — 30-day notice after initial term
Full Administration is the operator-managed service: Doom Tide handles all publishing submissions, statement parsing, registration management, and quarterly commission invoicing. The agreement covers a defined initial term (typically twelve months, specified in the signed engagement letter) followed by month-to-month continuation.
You can cancel Full Administration at any time after your initial term concludes by providing 30 days written notice. Email hello@doomtide.co from the registered account email. The 30-day clock starts the day we acknowledge receipt of the notice.
During the notice window we continue normal operations — statements that arrive get parsed, royalties continue to flow direct to you from your rights organizations, and any commission you owe for work completed during the notice window will be invoiced via Stripe per the standard quarterly cycle.
After cancellation takes effect:
- Royalties already paid out to you stay paid. Doom Tide never holds your royalty income at any point — your PROs and the MLC pay you directly.
- Any commission already invoiced and paid is non-refundable.
- Commission for work that landed during the notice window will be invoiced one final time and is owed.
- Your workspace is closed and all associated catalog, statement, royalty, and invoice data is deleted within five business days of the final invoice being paid. If you want to continue using the platform without Full Admin service, pay the $250 Self-Admin fee before cancellation takes effect and your workspace stays — same data, same login, just without operator-managed administration. Otherwise the account winds down with the relationship.
As with Self-Admin, coming back later is simple. Since Doom Tide never held your royalty income, there’s nothing to reconcile on re-entry — sign up again, re-upload your catalog, and you’re back operating.
During the initial term. If you need to cancel before the initial term concludes, we’ll work with you in good faith. Possibilities include early termination on payment of the remaining initial-term commission as an estimated lump sum, or a documented for-cause termination if Doom Tide has materially failed to perform. Email hello@doomtide.co with the subject “Early termination” and we’ll set up a call.
Workspace creation fees (new entities)
When you spin up an additional administered entity — for a side project, a band you’re in, an estate you administer — that entity’s $250 Self-Admin or its own Full Administration intake follows the same refund and cancellation rules as above, applied to that entity individually. Refunding or cancelling one entity does not affect the others on your account.
Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision or a final commission invoice, email hello@doomtide.co with “Dispute” in the subject. We’ll respond within five business days. Disputes that can’t be resolved by email fall under the dispute resolution terms in our Terms of Service.
